At $39.00/month or $359.88/year, Wealthy
Affiliate University has the possibility of being either a great waste of
time and money or an excellent online affiliate training course
Sometime early in 2008, I was browsing the web and somehow stumbled across
the Wealthy Affiliate website. After years of being online and seeing
just about every scam under the sun, I would normally dismiss paying that amount
of money for any type of affiliate marketing training.
However, my scam-dar wasn't going off quite as much with this particular
product/opportunity. I did some quick searches around the web and found
very little negative in the way of reviews and feedback. Wealthy Affiliate
University had already been around for a couple years by then, so normally there
would be quite a few negative reviews if people were feeling ripped off.
I wasn't in a buying mode at the time, so I just moved on and forgot about
them.
Just today, I was chatting with an old online friend who was giving Wealthy
Affiliate University and a couple other educational programs a test run. So
I've decided to join him and see whether or not I believe this is worth the
money.
What I expect from Wealthy Affiliate University
- A structured internet marketing education that helps reduce the confusion
so many internet marketers suffer from due to the overwhelming amount of
information around the net
- Occasional support from the owners: With a large member base I
don't expect Kyle and Carson to spend hours on end holding my hand, but
if I have an occasional issue, I expect a response in an acceptable time
frame.
- Support from other users: Most internet marketers are in the same
boat, a sinking one. Forums are a great place to share frustrations
and successes. I expect successful users to help out when they can
and to provide guidance to newbies and struggling members.
- Some advance tools and resources: For $39/month, I expect to have
a few extra tools and resources to work with.
- Long term value: My primary interest in starting this course is
the 8 Week Action plan. After the initial structured 8 weeks, Wealthy
Affiliate needs to prove itself better than the multitude of other free
affiliate information sites out there to keep getting my cash and my marketing
efforts.
What I don't expect from Wealthy Affiliate University
- Fast money: Internet marketing is often a hit or miss ordeal.
I may luck into to some early success, but I'm geared towards struggling
early and fighting my way to success.
- Hand holding: While I expect help when I need it, learning the
in and outs of internet marketing is up to me. It's my responsibility
to use the tools and resources that Wealthy Affiliate provides to the best
of my abilities. Nobody is going to do this for me.
- Perfection: No matter how good(or bad) Wealthy Affiliate
University turns out to be, I don't expect them to be perfect. Nothing
and nobody is. I expect the occasional hiccup and even to experience
some disappointment in a few of their offerings.
Okay, off we go for at least an 8 week journey. I can't officially
endorse or condemn them yet, but if you want to give Wealthy
Affiliate University a try, I'll help you in any way possible.
I'll be posting updates at least once a week in our Affiliate
Programs and Products Testing section. |
